Power Electronics Engineer Automotive Advanced Development. Candidate should have experience with power electronics and demonstrate well-rounded analytical skills. The candidate will also be exposed to mixed-signal design environments. This highly self-motivated engineer should be able to take on multiple development tasks of variable duration. These tasks include: class-D amplifier design, analog/ mixed-signal design, digital design, system architecture development, strategy development and requirements extraction. The engineer should be able to conceive, analyze and optimize a broad variety of power electronics, cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal circuits related to audio. Included in the work is the development of integrated circuits with key silicon suppliers. Initial work will be to develop amplifier class-D power ICs, power supply ICs and contribute to amplifier computing & signal processing platforms. The work involves occasional travel and carrying yourself well in front of demanding customers. This is an opportunity to interact with some of the sharpest minds in the industry and to grow professionally. We are looking for people who will thrive doing a wide variety of hands-on lab work in the electrical and acoustic domains.
-Expert knowledge in the design of switching power supplies and class-D amplifiers. -A solid understanding of magnetic components. -Solid Circuit simulation skills (LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc.) and the use of MATLAB. -Discrete component and board level analog and mixed-signals design. -Experience with micro-controller and digital-signal processing (DSP) hardware embedded designs. -Knowledge of Network design, such as MOST, Ethernet, CAN, Bluetooth, etc. -Resolution of EMC problems and advanced debugging skills. -Excellent written and verbal skills. Additional Experience: -Firmware/software development. -FPGA code design for prototyping purposes. -Acoustics, especially in the field of microphones. -IC design and general production process flow. -High volume consumer, pro or automotive industries. -Masters or PhD in EE, with a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience.
